The WSGS has published new digital geologic map data for four 1:24,000-scale bedrock geologic maps in the Granite Mountains area of central Wyoming. All four datasets are available as standalone downloads in geodatabase and shapefile formats: Whiskey Peak, Muddy Gap, Seminoe Dam NE, and Seminoe Mountains greenstone belt.
WSGS has released two quick-read summaries that snapshot Wyoming’s oil and natural gas activity and geologic hazards. The 2025 Oil, Gas and CCUS Summary highlights production, drilling trends, and price context, while the Wyoming Geologic Hazards Summary outlines key hazards and directs readers to WSGS maps and tools.
