Jeremy Ring joined the Wyoming State Geological Survey's Energy and Mineral Resources team in 2024. Born and raised in Colorado, he attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in geology in 2008 and a master’s degree in geology in 2014. His research focused on reservoir characterization and petrophysical modeling of fluvial sandstones. He has primarily worked in the oil and gas industry in various roles, including mudlogger, operations geologist, and project lead. In his free time, he enjoys volunteer vacations, building hiking trails, and performing fire prevention activities in national parks.
